Council on Foundations
A nonprofit membership association of grantmaking foundations and corporations. Their mission is to promote responsible and effective philanthropy by assisting existing and future grantmakers.

The Foundation Center
The Foundation Center is an independent nonprofit information clearinghouse established in 1956. The Center's mission is to foster public understanding of the foundation field by collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating information on foundations, corporate giving, and related subjects. The audiences that call on the Center's resources include grantseekers, grantmakers, researchers, policymakers, the media, and the general public.

Independent Sector
Independent Sector is a national leadership forum, working to encourage philanthropy, volunteering, not-for-profit initiative and citizen action that help us better serve people and communities. Founded in 1980 and based in Washington, DC, Independent Sector is a national coalition of voluntary organizations, foundations and corporate giving programs.

The Chronicle of Philanthropy
The Chronicle of Philanthropy is the newspaper of the non-profit world. Published every other week, it is the No. 1 news source for charity leaders, fund raisers, grant makers, and other people involved in the philanthropic enterprise. This website offers a summary of the contents of the current issue of The Chronicle, a list of forthcoming conferences and workshops, job opportunities in the non-profit world, and other information.

NYRAG
Founded in 1979, the New York Regional Association of Grantmakers is a nonprofit membership association of donors in the tristate area. NYRAG's mission is to promote and support effective philanthropy and concerted action for the public good. Strategic goals include improving the practice of philanthropy, increasing and diversifying philanthropy, and providing and encouraging leadership for collaborative action.

Philanthropy Roundtable
The Philanthropy Roundtable is a national association of individual donors, corporate giving representatives, foundation staff and trustees, and trust and estate officers. The Roundtable is founded on the principle that voluntary private action offers the best means of addressing many of society's needs, and that a vibrant private sector is critical to creating the wealth that makes philanthropy possible.
